Gloria Smith

Gloria Hargett Smith, age 55, of Forest City, NC, died Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Gloria was born February 15, 1958 in Davidson County, NC to the late J.C. Hargett and Reba Wall Hargett. She worked for Cone Mills and Doran Mills for many years and was a member of Haynes Memorial Baptist Church. Gloria enjoyed collecting carousels and vacationing in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. She was known for her heart of gold and her pride and joy was her family.
Survivors include her husband, Paul A. Smith; two sons, Jason Dills and fiancé, Lorin Rutherford of Hendersonville and Travis Smith and fiancé, Kristine Spicer of Mooresboro; two daughters, Sondra Martinez and husband, Margarito of Forest City and Paula Smith Alghorani of Forest City; brother, Richard Hargett and wife, Sherry of Cliffside. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Chelsea, Kalei, Summer Martinez and Haley Smith; great grandson, Malikhi Lowery.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Mr. Jerry Condrey officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. At other times they will be gathered at 148 Fairway Drive, Forest City.
