Grover C. White

Grover C. White, age 67, of Cowpens, SC, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

Grover was born March 28, 1953 in Rutherford County to the late Morgan Leroy White and Addie Bell Smith White. Grover was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and served his country in the Vietnam War. A welder by trade, he worked for Daniel Construction and Duke Power. Grover was a past member of Crestview Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, gardening and playing the guitar.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Ellen Marie White and two sisters, Pat Ferguson and Joyce White.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Linda V. White; two brothers,  T.C. White (Paulette) of Forest City and Ronnie Moore (Linda) of Spartanburg; sister, Cathy Bradley (Dewey) of Henrietta; two daughters, Stella Marie White of Austin, Texas and Stella Jean White of Santa Barbara, California; son, Frank White of Rutherfordton and an aunt, Joanne Story of Kings Mountain.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Reverend Chris Glawson officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the Rutherford County Honor Guard. Friends may pay their respects from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
