Harold Bailey

Harold Bailey, age 85, of Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

Harold was born June 2, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Henry Crawford Bailey and Mary Jones Bailey. He worked at General Fireproofing for many years before retirement and was of the Baptist faith. Harold enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and yardwork.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ann Bailey and by three brothers.

Those left to cherish his memory include two sons, Danny Ray Hardin of Gaffney and Richard Hardin (Debbie) of Ellenboro; two sisters, Mary Sue Buff of Rutherfordton and Ruth Padgett of Ellenboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:30 pm on Saturday at Harrelson Funeral Home.
