Harold Dean Swink

Harold Dean Swink, age 63, of Poors Ford Road, Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Dean was born Monday, May 25, 1959 in Rutherford County to the late Roy Swink and Eliza Johnson Swink. He worked for the town of Spindale for many years and was a past member of Race Path Baptist Church. Dean enjoyed fishing, working on small engines and building model cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Randall, Mozelle Tate and Cora Hudgins; brothers, Ernest Swink, Durham Swink and two infant brothers.

Left to cherish fond memories are his son, Richard Swink of Bostic; sisters, Helen Shires of Mooresboro, Effie Blackburn of Shelby, Marthel Matheny of the Shiloh Community and a brother, Donald Swink (Janice) of Harris. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Ernie Cole officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
