Hazel Cannon

Hazel Womick Cannon, age 71, of Henrietta Street Extension, Caroleen, NC passed away Saturday, January 12, 2008 at her home. She was born November 29, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Hudson Womick and Pearl Legg Womick. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Hensley and a brother Donald Womick. Hazel was a former textile employee. She loved her neighbors and her family. She also loved her pets.

Survivors include four daughters, Rita Smith of Caroleen, NC, Donna Flynn and her husband Mike of Cliffside, Lisa Smart and her husband Dennis of Ellenboro, and Tina Brijl of Caroleen; one brother, Carl "Ham" Womick of Forest City; five grandchildren, Bronson Moore, Tracy Miller, Robbie Flynn, Kelly Horn, and Cristy Wurzbach; seven great grandchildren, Courtney Moore, Corey Miller, Kirstie Miller, Kelsey Moore, Ryan Moore, Kayla Horn, and Gabriel Horn; and her longtime companion, Charles Toney.
