Hazel Greene

Hazel Upton Greene, age 83, of 149 Mt. Pleasant Church Road, Forest City, NC, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 26, 2010 at the Hill Crest Rest Home.
Hazel was born on March 19, 1927 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Jasper Upton and Edith Frazier Upton. She was a longtime faithful member of Chase Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church singings and travelling. She worked for P. Lorillard Tobacco Company for over 30 years before her retirement.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Bud Greene; one son, Jeff Greene; two brothers, Hub Upton, J.C. Upton and one sister, Reba Walker.
Survivors include one son, Greg Greene and wife, Beth of Forest City; one brother, Reverend Jack Upton; one grandson, Jeremy Fitzgerald of Reidsville, NC a host of nieces and nephews.
