Hazel Wall

Hazel Wall, age 92, of Forest City, died Monday, January 26, 2009 at Fair Haven Home. She was born on November 9, 1916 in Rutherford County to the late Walter Glass Settlemyre and Hester McKeithan Settlemyre. She was a lifetime member of Alexander Baptist Church where she faithfully taught Sunday School and was WMU Director. She was also a member of the Forest City Women's Club. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed working with arts & crafts.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Garnell Wall; one brother James Settlemyre and one sister, Ruth Settlemyre.
She is survived by one daughter, Melinda Earley and her husband Bill of Forest City; one son; James Jerry Wall and his wife Susan of Wilmington, NC; one sister, Mae Blanton of Forest City; five grandchildren, Heather Anton and her husband Tim, Dr. Victoria Wall Deese and her husband Nathan, Jane Wall Miller and her husband Stephen, Lauren Wall and Penelope Wall; three great-grandchildren, Josh Keeter, Morgan Keeter and Abbie Anton.
