Helen Morrow Hudson, 78, of Forest City, passed away Oct. 13 after a long illness. She was born in Rutherfordton and raised in Ellenboro. Helen was a graduate of Ellenboro High School and Cecil’s Business College. She loved serving her Lord and caring for her family. Helen was an organist for Bethel Baptist Church in Ellenboro, but earned such a following as a talented musician, that she spent most of her time as interim organist at many county churches of all denominations.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Pauline Morrow, step-grandson, JD Hudson, and sister Vicki. She is survived by husband Doug Hudson of Forest City, sons Eddie Gordon (Beverly) of Chesnee, Eric Gordon (Daphne) of Belmont; step-son, Joey Hudson, and brothers Jim Morrow (Revonda) and Bill Morrow (Cynthia). She is also survived by grandchildren Rachael Gordon, Liam Adams, Michelle Kapple, Brittany Kapple, Kathy Kapple, Raymond Davis and Shanda Blades.
