Henry Holtzclaw, age 80, of Ellenboro, NC, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Hospice House.
Henry was born October 25, 1931 in Rutherford County to the late Hubert Holtzclaw and Lola Toms Pruitt. He was a graduate of Cliffside High School and was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War. Henry worked for AGI Industries for 35 years and was known as a man who could fix anything. He was a Baptist.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Holtzclaw.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Betty Dobbins Holtzclaw; two daughters, Marsha Jolley and husband, Tommy of Forest City and Beverly McGinnis and husband, Danny of Ellenboro; one son, Chad Holtzclaw and wife, Jamie of Ellenboro; four sisters, Margaret Beam, Genell Henson, Hazel Bagwell, Betty Phillips all of Forest City; one brother, Frank Holtzclaw of Cliffside. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Betsy Jolley, Caroline Jolley, Kristin Pearson, Craig McGinnis, Allison Holtzclaw, Samuel Holtzclaw and Clayton Holtzclaw; two great-grandchildren, Deacon Pearson and Elin Pearson.
