Hitus Harrill

July 30, 1951 — May 21, 2017

Hitus A. Harrill, age 65, of Bostic, died Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.
Born July 30, 1951 in Rutherford County, he was son to Dorothy Boone Harrill of Bostic and the late Thomas Lemuel Harrill. Hitus owned and operated Harrill Landscaping for over forty years and was a faithful member of Corinth Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, taught Sunday School and was a choir member at the church. Hitus enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He especially enjoyed getting good deals at the flea market.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Paula Price.
Besides his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of forty-four years, Juanita B. Harrill; three sons, Richard "Andrew" Harrill and wife, Kyna of Bostic, David L. Harrill and wife, Jaira of Ellenboro and Robbie Jackson of Harris; one sister, Mary Gonzales and husband, Benito of Louisana; his honorary father, D.L. Smart of Ellenboro and a granddaughter Brynleigh Harrill.
The memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Corinth Baptist Church with Reverend Keith Fulbright and Reverend Mike Conner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the church. Inurnment will be private for the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectively requested to Corinth Baptist Church, 767 Pinehurst Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
