Ida Henson

Ida Lou Hammett Henson, age 53, of Old US Highway 74, Bostic, NC passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at her home. She was born December 1, 1954 in Laredo Texas to Manuela Flores Hammett and the late Merrill T. Hammett. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Noemi Carver and a brother, James Howard Hammett. Ida had a zest for learning. She loved her friends, music and cooking. She worked as a truck driver.

She is survived by her mother, Manuela "Meme" Hammett of the home, three sisters, Debra Kesterson and her husband Terry of Forest City, Cindy Fay Brown of Forest City, and Tamy Hammett Grier and her husband Kenneth of Hopewell, NC; one brother, Tommy Hammett and wife Judy of Forest City, and 14 nieces and nephews.
