Inez McSwain Grant, age 95, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, October 20, 2007 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County. She was born on June 2, 1912 in Shelby, NC to the late Benjamin Buster "Bus" McSwain and Mamie Lou Moore McSwain. She was the widow of Johnny "Red" Grant who preceded her in death in 1996, she was also a member of Temple Baptist Church of Henrietta. She was a retiree of Burlington Industries and a licensed Cosmetologist. She loved life and lived it to its fullest. Her greatest investment was showing her love for others, especially her family, which she reaped tremendous dividends by receiving their love in return.
She is survived by her daughter Johnnie Grant Street and her husband Fred Street of Forest City; two grandsons, Fred Street III and wife Suzanne of Creed Moore, NC, and Bob Street and wife Robin of Forest City; four great granddaughters, Lindsey, Katie, and Emily Street and Sally Street Walker and husband Nick, and a great grandson Camden Walker. She is also survived by her two brothers George McSwain of Henrietta, and Tommy McSwain of Greensboro, and a sister Margaret Yelton of Forest City; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Forbes of Great Falls, SC.
