Inez B. Sims, age 86, of Spindale, died Monday, November 24, 2014 at her residence.
Born October 7, 1928 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter to the late Monroe Adams and Minnie Hill Adams. She worked as a caterer for Marriott Food Service for many years and also worked at Southern Devices Industries. She most recently was the secretary for the Forest City Senior Center and worked for the Forest City First United Methodist Day Care. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Spindale and enjoyed fishing, dancing and taking family vacations to Dayton Beach and Myrtle Beach.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Walter Bradley and her second husband, Thomas Ray Sims; two sons, Jimmy Bradley and Bobby Gene Bradley and daughter, Betty Gene Avant.
Survivors include three sons, Johnny Bradley of Forest City, James Bradley of Mooresboro and Thomas Sims and wife, Lisbeth of Rosemount, Minnesota; five daughters, Patsy Reid of Forest City, Delores Crotts of Anniston, Alabama, Linda Schablitsky of Rosemount, Judy Bradley of Spindale and Debbie Bradley of Hillman, Minnesota. She is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
