Inez Greene Womack

     Inez Greene Womack, age 95, of Forest City, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at the Fair Haven Home in Bostic.

     Inez was born Thursday, November 3, 1927 in Polk County, to the late Daniel Edgar Greene and Della Elizabeth Johnson Greene.  Inez was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  Inez’s mission in life was ministering to others in every way possible. If she saw a need, she would try to fill that need, including taking church bulletins to shut ins. Lately, she had been reminiscing about her family and her birthplace in Polk County and writing down her thoughts and memories. She will be greatly missed by everyone that knew her.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Womack; her son, James David Womack; brothers, Reverend James Edgar Greene, Robert Henry Greene, Wayne Dean Greene; sisters, Stella Beatrice Greene Randolph, Ruth Greene Reid and Carrie Lynette Greene.

     Those left to cherish her memory include daughter-in-law Debby Womack, granddaughter, Shawn Womack King; two great granddaughters, Amanda Joellen Higgins and Cheyenne Brook Glynn.

     A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the time of the service.

     The family would like to say a special thank you to Fair Haven Home for all of their help and kindness shown to Inez.
