Ira Davis

Ira 'Dean' Davis, age 74, of 967 Bethany Church Road, Forest City, NC, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at his residence.
Dean was born on May 22, 1934 in Rutherford County to the late Ira L. and Sudie Mae Atchley Davis. He worked in the textile mills all of his life and for Burlington Industries for 17 years before his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice 'Faye' Davis and by one brother, Theron Davis.
Survivors include his son, Terry Davis and his wife, Lynn, of Dallas, NC; two daughters, Tammy Morrow and her husband, Eddie, of Rutherfordton and Tonda Pye of Forest City; six grandchildren, Amanda Morrow, Alicia Leverette, Heather Davis, Tracy Davis, Leslie Davis and Brad Pye and by one great-grandson, Cameron Leverette.
