Irene Randolph Wyatt

Irene Randolph Wyatt, age 81, of Ellenboro, passed away Monday, July 5, 2021 at the Amorem Hospice House in Hudson, NC. Irene was born Sunday, December 17, 1939 in Yancey County to the late Willard Albert Randolph and Bonnie Belle Randolph. She was a homemaker and a member of Souls Harbor Tabernacle. Irene enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. She was a dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Ray “Squeaky” Wyatt and five brothers, Dover Randolph, W.A. Randolph, Earnest Parker, Clemmer Parker, Roland Parker and a grandson, Preston Lee Johnston.

Those left to cherish her memory include four daughters, Debbie Bragg and husband, Ron of Ellenboro, Donna Summerow and husband, Cliff of Lenoir, NC, Karen Greene and husband, Roger of Conover, NC, Tammy Wellman and husband, David of Rutherfordton and a son Billy Ray Wyatt and wife, Hazel of Simpsonville, SC; brother, Roland Parker (Bernice) of Old Fort, NC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 9, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral with Reverend Joel Frye officiating. Interment will follow at Souls Harbor Tabernacle Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
