Jacqueline Lawson

July 6, 1942 — December 23, 2013

Jacqueline Flack Lawson, age 71, formerly of Forest City, NC and a resident of Stem, NC, died Monday, December 23, 2013 at the Duke University Hospital.
Born July 6, 1942 in Burke County, she was a daughter to the late Ike Flack, Jr. and Mavel Murray Flack. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1960 and worked for Kemet Industries for many years before retiring. She was a homemaker and enjoyed taking care of her family. Jacqueline attended the Community United Methodist Church of Butner, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, R.B. Lawson and one brother, Donald Flack.
Survivors include three sons, Vince Allen Lawson and wife, Sue of Athens, AL, Dwayne Edward Lawson and wife, Mayumi of Stem, NC and Jeffrey Stephen Lawson and wife, Bonnie of Rutherfordton; two brothers, Douglas Flack and wife, Lorene of Rutherfordton and Ike Flack III and wife, Tina of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, Sandra Prince and husband, Steve of Morganton, NC and Grace Flack of Ellenboro. She is also survived by sister-in-law, Ann Flack of Dinwiddie, VA and six grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Eternal Hills Cemetery with Reverend Jessie Larkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
