Jake Harrill

Jake V. Harrill, of Oak Grove Church Road, Ellenboro, NC passed away Monday June 9, 2008 at the Hospice House in Forest City, NC. He was born in Rutherford County to the late Howard Harrill and Nellie Vassey Harrill. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Harrill. He was retired after 48 years of service from Collins & Aiken. Jake was a U. S. Army veteran stationed in Versailles, France serving as a military clerk for the 520th military police division. He was a lifetime member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He was also a master gardener and raised beautiful roses.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dot Harrill of the home; a Godchild Robin Myers of Tryon, NC; four nieces, Kathy Brooks of Winston Salem, NC, Elaine Trotter of High Point, NC, Patty Maribona of Fort Myers, FL, and Debbie Randolph of High Point, NC; two special friends, Clayton & Elsie Worley of Ellenboro, NC; a sister-in-law, Donna Harrill and an aunt, Addie Rae Marshall.
