James 'Boyce' Robbins, age 63, of Forest City, NC, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville.
Boyce was born on September 29, 1946 in Rutherford County to J.C. Robbins and Minnie Wilkie Robbins. He served in the US Army, 18th Artillery Detachment during the Vietnam War. He worked as a machinist for Sun Ray Manufacturing for 17 years before his retirement. He was an avid Carolina Panther fan and enjoyed NASCAR.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, John Robbins.
Survivors include two daughters, Michelle McKillop of Forest City and Mallory Robbins of Alta Vista, VA; three grandchildren, Christopher Laughter of Mill Spring, NC, Austin McKillop of Spartanburg, SC and Shani McKillop of Forest City; two brothers, Joe Robbins and wife, Pat, of Bostic, NC and Roy Robbins and his wife, Angie, Forest City.
