James Ruppe

James Robert "Bob" Ruppe, Jr., age 60, of Rutherfordton, died Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born January 16, 1956 in Charleston, SC, he was a son to the late James Robert Ruppe, Sr. and Syble Honeycutt Ruppe. He was a longtime member of Broad River Baptist Church. Bob was a creative person who displayed his artistic abilities by photography and drawing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Tom Bunting.
Survivors include two daughters, Carrie Ruppe Edwards of Hillsville, Virginia and Melanie Ruppe Clark and husband, Nathan of Inman, SC; a son, Dustin Ruppe also of Inman; three sisters, Glenda Ruppe Melnyk and husband, William of Tennessee, Deborah Ruppe Rogoff of South Carolina and Roberta Ruppe Rose and husband, Vic of North Carolina; brother, Richard Eric Ruppe and wife, Carol also of North Carolina. He is also survived by two grandsons, Jaden Wayne Edwards and Gavin James Edwards.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Glenda Melnyk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
