James Weaver

James Marlin Weaver "Rattlesnake", age 82, of Bostic, NC died Sunday, June 1, 2014 at Hospice of Rutherford County.
Born March 10, 1932 in Rutherford County, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Weaver and Maggie Waters Weaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother; one sister; and one grandson.
Mr. Weaver was a United States Army veteran and a member of Wilson Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling and fishing and was known as "Rattlesnake" to the members of the Alpha CB Club.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Lorene Hendricks Weaver; four sons, James Marlin Weaver Jr., Harland Gregory Shippam, Harley James Shippam, Walter Lee Steed; two daughters, Ailene Rae Teleso, Linda Lou Shinsako; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; six sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Wilson Baptist Church, with Reverend Troy Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at Wilson Baptist Church. Inurnment will be private at a later date at Wilson Baptist Church Cemetery.
