Jamie Blanton

Jimmy Arthur Blanton Jr., age 53, of Piedmont, SC died Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at Presbyterian Hospice and Palliative Care in Charlotte, NC.
A native of Rutherford County, NC, Jamie was the son of Jimmy and Kay Roberson Blanton of Nebo, NC. He was a truck driver by trade and loved spending time at the Ocean and Lake James.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gail Schaalma Blanton; one daughter, Shannon Blanton of Greenville, SC; one sister, Shelley Grant of Nebo and a step-daughter, Angela Cummings also of Greenville.
A private celebration of Jamie's life will be held at a later date.
