Jamie Leigh Conner formerly of Rutherford County died in Buncombe County, Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at Solace Hospice in Asheville. He was the son of Michael Ray Beheler (Cathy) and Cindy Conner Alexander (Joe).
In addition to his parents, Jamie is survived by six sisters; Kim Atkins (Brent) of Ellenboro, Crystal Reiding (Todd) of Winston Salem, Amanda Mann of Forest City, Jessica Alexander of Forest City, Gina Gowan (Tony) of Green Creek, and Denna Hoyle (Ricky) of Shelby, and six brothers; Chad Beheler of Forest City, Brad Beheler (Tiffany) of Indian Trail, James Alexander (Rebekah) of Mooresboro, Josh Alexander (April) of Rutherfordton, Joey Alexander (Amy) of Cliffside and Jeff Alexander (April) of Rutherfordton. Jamie has special nieces, Kendal and Summer Beheler and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Jamie was engaged to the love of his life, Jennifer Michelle Elliott of Asheville. They shared a love for her daughter, Joy Elizabeth Wingo. He was the caregiver of Jennifer's mom, Joyous Upton Jarrell. Family members say that "Jamie always knew how to put a smile on your face."
Jamie graduated from Chase High School. His hobbies included fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He attended New Bethel Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held for Jamie at New Bethel Baptist Church on Sunday, May 26 at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends at 2:00pm at the church. Reverend Greg Qualls and Reverend Terry Roach will be officiating the service. Interment will follow at the New Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
