Jamie Bowen Absher, age 42, of Rutherfordton, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. Jamie was born Thursday, December 21, 1978 in Rutherford County to the late J.V. Bowen and Francis Chapman Shehan. She was a registered medical technician. Jamie loved spending time outdoors.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother, Faye Dalton.

Those left to cherish her memory include her fiancé, Thomas Prevatte; four sons, Kevin Absher, Jr., Terry Absher, Hunter Bowen, Dakota Prevatte and stepdaughter, Kristine Prevatte; brother, Chris Bowen of Bostic and sister, Regina Weaver of Ellenboro.

No formal services will be conducted.
