Janice Mathis

Janice Mathis, age 65, of Dobbins Road, Ellenboro, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Mission Hospital in Asheville.

Janice was born Wednesday, February 20, 1957 in Gaston County, NC to the late Marvin Jackson and Fannie Brooks Jackson. She was a dedicated homemaker and loved her family dearly. Janice was a free spirit who enjoyed life. She was kindhearted and had a generous heart of love for others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin Eugene Jackson.

Left to cherish fond memories are her husband of twenty-eight years, Robert Mathis; son, Curtis Hill (Tara) of Boiling Springs, NC; three grandchildren, Bethany Easler, Logan Hill and Pamela Hill. She is also survived by a stepdaughter, Melinda Lee (Todd) of Polkville and stepson, Robbie Mathis (Jennifer) of Kings Mountain.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Harrelson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Harrelson Funeral Home, 1251 US Highway 221A, Forest City, NC 28043 to help defray funeral expenses.
