Janice Moore Cole

Janice Moore Cole, age 63, of Forest City, passed Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her residence.

Janice was born Monday, December 22, 1958 in McDowell County to the late Earl Ray Moore and Helen Epley Moore. She was a graduate of R-S Central High School, class of 1976. Janice was a Monitor Tech at Spartanburg Regional Hospital for twelve years and worked for Eaton Corporation for thirty-one years. She attended the Full Throttle Biker Church in Forest City. Her favorite pastime was watching birds from her porch with her late husband, Billy.  She also loved camping with her family. Janice will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-two years, Billy Cole.

Left to cherish fond memories are her daughters, Sara Cole (Jesse), Leah Lucas (Jeffery) and Diane Yelton all of Forest City; grandchildren, Alyssa Caldwell (Zac), Bryson Yelton, Knox Lucas and a great granddaughter, Khloee Caldwell. She is also survived by her brothers, Neal Moore (Becky) of Rutherfordton, Roger Moore (Myra) of Union Mills, Richard Moore (Diane) of Marion, Lawrence Moore (Reita) of Marion and a close friend who was considered a brother, Bobby Reece of Forest City.

The funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Mike Gettys and Elder Ursula Long officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:30 am until service time at the funeral home.
