J B Holland

J B Holland, age 86, of Henrietta, NC, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Atrium Health in Pineville.

J B was born Tuesday, February 4, 1936 in Rutherford County to the late Virgil Holland and Anna Lou Lovelace Holland. He worked for Cone Mills for over forty years and most recently for Allied Security for several years. J B enjoyed going to flea markets, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed watching westerns on TV. He was a member of Goode’s Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-six years, Patsy Sailors Holland; son, Stephen Holland; siblings, Earl Holland, Charles Ray Holland, Lucy Rochester, Eunice Ervin and Becky Beaver.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Holland of Spindale, Roger Holland of Forest City and Gregory Holland of Henrietta; siblings, Kay Brunick (Carl) of Shelby, James Holland (Renee) of Ellenboro, Joyce Lail of Boiling Springs, NC, Jerry Holland of Shelby and six grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robbie Hensley officiating. Interment will follow at Goode’s Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
