Jean Teats Kwasniewski, age 88, of Gaffney, SC and formerly of Forest City, passed away on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Spartanburg Hospital for Restorative Care.
Born April 21, 1927 in Bergen County, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Albert James Teats and Jenny Livingstone Teats. She was a homemaker and also owned and operated the Sandy Mush Fishing Lake with her husband and son for many years. She was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed crocheting and shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Ralph Kwasniewski.
Survivors include four sons, Ralph Kwasniewski, Jr. and wife, Joanne of Washington Township, New Jersey, Ronald Kwasniewski of Yuba City, California, Robert Kwasniewski and wife, Brandy of Kernersville, NC and Richard Kwasniewski and wife, Linda of Gaffney, SC; one daughter, Sandra Carlough of Manassas, Virginia; two brothers, Albert Teats, Jr. and wife, Grace of Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey and James Teats and wife, Phyllis of Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. She is also survived by six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Moneyham and Reverend Tim Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 prior to service time at the funeral home.
