Jeanette Whitaker

Jeanette Piercy Whitaker, age 91, of Henrietta, NC, died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at the Hospice Residence in Forest City.
A native of Rutherford County she was a daughter of the late C.M. Piercy and Elmeda Jane Huntley Piercy. She was a charter member of Temple Baptist Church and a long-time member of Caroleen Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Women's Club of Henrietta. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Raymond C. Whitaker and by six brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include her son, Carl Whitaker and his wife Wendy of Greer, SC; three grandchildren, Michael Whitaker of Greenville, SC, John Scott of Pickens, SC and Jennifer Blakely and her husband Christopher of Easley, SC; two great-grandchildren, Emma Blakely and Gracie Blakely also of Easley, SC and numerous nieces and nephews.
