Jennie Pearl Ledford

Jennie Pearl Ledford, age 94, of Mamie Hamilton Road, Bostic, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Restwell Assisted Living in Rutherfordton.

Jennie was born Friday, October 28, 1927 in Rutherford County to the late Adam Tessneer and Ada Hyder Tessneer.  She was a graduate of Sunshine High School, class of 1945 and worked in textiles for many years. Jennie was a lifetime member of Sandy Level Baptist Church and was a dedicated caretaker for her family. She had a heart of love for God, for her family and for others.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Hubert Adam Ledford, a daughter, Nancy Byrd; four brothers, two sisters and a great grandson, Adam Hill.

Left to cherish fond memories are her three sons, Alvin “Pete” Ledford of Union Mills, Wesley Ledford (Michelle) of Inman, SC and Von Ledford of Forest City. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 28, 2022 at Sandy Level Baptist Church with Reverend Robbie Hensley and Reverend Jason Toney officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church. At other times they will be gathered at 125 Big Springs Avenue, Forest City.
