Jerald Rollins

Jerald C. Rollins, age 70, of Bridge Road, Ellenboro, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born November 13, 1944 in Rutherford County, he was the only son of late Ruby McCombs Banks. He was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1963 and a member of Concord Baptist Church. He worked for the Community Cash Grocery Store and as an assistant manager of Ingles Supermarket for many years. He was also an AC technician for Cone Mills. His life's work was car sales which led him to co-owning and operating The Auto Connection for thirty-years. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Forest City Masonic Lodge #381.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Buell Banks and his aunt, Maude Fortune.
Survivors include his daughter, Misty Rollins Beason of Ellenboro and two grandchildren, Macy Beason and Carley Willis.
Funeral services will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck and Reverend Charles Street officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery with Masonic Rites being accorded by the Forest City Masonic Lodge. The family will receive friends from seven o'clock until nine o'clock on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
