Jerry Biggerstaff

Jerold "Jerry". Biggerstaff, age 66, of New Jerusalem Road, Forest City, NC, passed away Friday, May 02, 2008 at his home. He was born April 29, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Bill Biggerstaff and Mary Cobb Biggerstaff. He was a member of Gray's Creek Baptist Church. He was a dedicated member of Cliffside Fire Department where he served for 30 years and was an honorary lifetime member. He worked as a security guard for Cone Mills and retired after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife, Pearl Phillips Biggerstaff of the home; one son, Billy Biggerstaff of Cliffside, NC; three stepsons, Scott Lancaster and wife Sonya of Elberton, GA., Ronnie Lancaster and wife Teresa of Mooresboro, NC and Chris Lancaster and wife Trema of Polk County; two daughters, Wanda Sanders and husband Sandy of Cleveland County and Anita Stoufer and husband Sammy of Shingle Hollow, NC; one stepdaughter Lisa Arrowood and husband Terry of Shelby, NC, one brother, Gene Biggerstaff of Cliffside, NC; a sister, Carolyn Gordon of Caroleen, NC and four grandchildren, eleven step-grandchildren and one great grandchild.
