Jerry Blanton

Jerry "J. R." Blanton, age 50, of 281 Old Church Street, Mooresboro, NC passed away Monday, June 9, 2008 at the Loris Community Hospital in Loris, SC. He was born October 14, 1957 in Rutherford County to Roy Eugene Blanton, Sr. and the late Maudie Agnes Wishion. He worked in construction as a roofer and carpenter. He was a NASCAR fan and loved fishing.

In addition to his father, Roy Eugene Blanton, Sr. of Loris, SC his is survived by his wife, Vivian Henson of Ellenboro, NC; one son, Stephen Blanton of Lincolnton,. NC; one daughter, Karen Jaynes of Lincolnton, NC; seven grandchildren, Rhonda Whitaker, Milton Edwards, Ashley Blanton, Michelle Blanton, Stacy Blanton, Robert Jaynes, and Jessie Jaynes; two brothers, Roy Blanton of Loris, SC and Billy Blanton of Henrietta, NC; three sisters, Brenda Blanton, Barbara Bullman, and Ruth Blanton all of Henrietta, NC; and a Special Friend, Doris Rowe of Tabor City, SC.
