Jerry Spangler Camp, age 82, of Ellenboro, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Jerry was born October 27, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Earl Lee Curtis and Jessie Beason Curtis. She was a graduate of Ellenboro High School, class of 1953 and worked for Porter Brothers for over twenty years and as an office clerk for White Oak Manor in Rutherfordton. Jerry was a member of Race Path Baptist Church and enjoyed craft-work and quilting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John C. Spangler and second husband, Maurice Camp; one son, Keith Spangler and a sister, Doris Wilson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Kim Cook and husband, Clyde and Pam Curry all of Forest City; daughter-in-law, Kathy Spangler also of Forest City; three grandchildren, Chris Cook and wife, Jessi, Amy McDaniel, Rylan Curry and three great grandchildren, Caleb, Natalie and Madison McDaniel.
A graveside service will be conducted at Cleveland Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 1, 2108 with Reverend Randall Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home on the day of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are respectfully requested to the Race Path Baptist Church Children's and Youth Fund, 1171 Race Path Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28043.
