Jerry Dean Dixon

Jerry Dean Dixon, age 74, of Forest City, died on Monday, August 26, 2024 at the Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Jerry was born on Sunday, June 25, 1950 in Cleveland County to the late Monroe Dixon and the late Annie Pearl Anthony. He was a 1972 graduate of Shelby High School and later received a Welding Certificate from Isothermal Community College in 1983. Jerry served his country in the United States Army and later worked for Reeves Brothers where he retired. He was a very giving person, always caring for the community of Henrietta and enjoyed watching the race or tinkering with an old car.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Dixon; and his brother, William “Bill” Dixon.

Survivors include his daughters, Jennifer Dixon, of Spindale, and Janet Motley (Steve), of Shelby; two grandchildren, Autumn Lynn Feltman, and Jeffrey Elijah Feltman; and one great-grandson, Joseph Edgar Rhea.
