Jerry Green

February 7, 1942 — June 19, 2019

Jerry Green, age 77, of Ellenboro, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Blue Ridge Health and Rehabilitation in Hendersonville.
Jerry was born February 7, 1942 in Rutherford County to the late Albert Green and Inez Smith Green. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country honorably during the Vietnam War. Jerry worked for Timken Industries for twenty-five years before retirement and was a member of Crestview Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on cars and reading his Bible.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernie Green.
Those left to treasure his memory include his loving wife, Nancy L. Green; two sons, Randy Green (Carol) of Ellenboro and Roger Green (Kimberly) of Cherryville; brother, Leon Green (Barbara) of Caroleen; three sisters, Joan Bennett of Caroleen, Peggy Ballard of Forest City and Patricia Davis of Stanley, NC; brother-in-law, Bob Hamrick of Shelby. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Matthew Green, Ricky Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Kevin Rohm officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
