Jerry Padgett

Jerry N. Padgett, age 58, of Oakland Road, Forest City, died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Jerry was born on November 21, 1952 in Rutherford County to the late John Padgett and Georgia Powell Padgett. He worked for John H. Montgomery Mills and Cone Mills for many years and for Wilbert Plastics Manufacturing most recently. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and NASCAR and loved his family dearly. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Padgett and Roy Padgett.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Ann Simpson Padgett; one daughter, Tracy Padgett Webb and husband, Jason of Ellenboro; one brother, Allen Padgett and wife, Marie of Caroleen; two sisters, Jean Ervin of Forest City and Joann Splawn of Chesnee, SC. He is also survived by two grandsons, Braxton Andrews and Brantley Webb.
