Jerry Wayne Thompson, age 67, of Boss Moore Road, Caroleen, NC, died Monday, July 1, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.
Jerry was born July 3, 1945 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Arthur Lawrence Thompson and Hester Mae Radford Thompson. He worked for John H. Montgomery Textile Company most of his life and was known as a hard worker. He enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball and loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Brenda Scoggins Thompson three sons, Gary Wayne Thompson of Forest City, Christopher Curtis Kite and Johnny Forrest Kite both of Caroleen; one daughter, LaTrail Thompson Poirier of Caroleen; one sister, Margaret Thompson Beaver of Burnsville; one brother, Bob Thompson of Arizona.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren who includes a granddaughter, Kabrina E. Kite of the home; one niece Donna Walker and husband, Roger of Caroleen, who were always there to help.
No formal services are planned.
