Joe Kimbrell

     Joe Kimbrell, age 88, of Forest City, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Amedisys Hospice in Sumter, South Carolina.

     Joe was born Thursday, August 29, 1935 in Rutherford County to the late Archie Kimbrell and Lillian Phillips Kimbrell. He worked at the Gilkey Convenience Center for many years and for Eternal Hills Memorial Park for thirteen years. He was a past member of Alexander United Methodist Church and attended Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Joyce Beheler Kimbrell and Linda Clark Kimbrell; brothers, Kenneth and Tommy Kimbrell; sister, Nancy Kimbrell.

     Left to cherish his memory are his  wife, Joan Kimbrell; brothers, James Kimbrell of Rutherfordton and Earl Kimbrell of Sandy Mush.

     A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 19^th at Robertson Creek Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
