Joel Beason, age 64, of Forest City, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Accordius Health-Rutherford formerly White Oak Manor.  Joel was born Wednesday, January 9, 1957 in Cleveland County to the late Charles Reid Beason and Martha Bridges Beason. He was a graduate of Crest High School, class of 1975 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Gardner-Webb University. He worked many years as a Psychiatrist for Rutherford Mental Health. Joel was a member of Forest Lake Baptist Church and enjoyed singing, bowling, basketball and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dan Beason.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Nathan C. Beason of Bostic; brother, Donald Beason (Rita) of Mooresboro and by his adopted family at Lisa’s Family Care.

A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Wayne Toney officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
