John D. Poole, age 55, of the Shiloh Community, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016 at Mary Black Hospital in Spartanburg.
Born November 25, 1961 in Spartanburg County, SC, he was a son to the late David Poole and to Vernie Blackwell Poole who resides in Henrietta. He was truck driver and a faithful employee for Truck Service Incorporated for twenty-five years. John enjoyed working on antique cars.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one sister, Daphene Maness.
Besides his mother, survivors include his wife, Diane Poole; daughter, Brittany Morrow and husband, Matthew of Spartanburg; son Johnathan Poole and wife, Kasandra of Michigan; step-daughter, Courtney Aldrich of Spindale and Joshua Aldrich of Ellenboro; a daughter of honorable mention, Jerrica Isenhower; two sisters, Sheila Wilson and husband, Anthony of Henrietta and Melissa Stephens and husband, Richard of Gaffney. He also survived by in-laws, Sandra and Jerry Costner of Cherryville; two brother-in-laws, Robert Patterson and wife, Jeanne of Forest City and James Costner and wife, Mandy of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Mary Black and husband, Dale Hensley of Rutherfordton; six grandchildren, Mailey, Tristian, Kellan, Scarlett, Kade and Katie; four fur babies, Maestro, Sophia, Cocoa and Zeus and a number of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at noon of Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Diane Poole, 2307 Harris-Henrietta Road, Mooresboro, NC 28114 to help with medical expenses.
