Johnny Gragg

Johnny Gragg, age 69, of Cleghorn Mill Road, Rutherfordton, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at his residence.
Born May 8, 1946 in Rutherford County, he was a son of the late William Walter Gragg and Myra Candace Morgan Gragg. He worked for Stonecutter Mills for thirty-five years and retired from Broyhill Industries as a fork lift driver. He was a member of West Point Baptist Church and was currently attending Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church. Johnny was an avid rabbit hunter and raised Beagles. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a Dallas Cowboy fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Teresa Gragg and brother, Cecil Morgan.
Survivors include his wife of forty-nine years, Sherry Gragg; one daughter, Tammy Walker and husband, Don of Bostic; two sisters, Jean Taylor and husband, William of Rutherfordton and Marcia Lou Jamison of Charlotte; one brother, Paul Gragg of Lincolnton. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Kayla Vanbuskirk and husband, Josh and Cody Carver; two great-grandchildren, Addison Greene and Bentley Vanbuskirk; special friend, Marvin Yelton of Sandy Mush and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at twelve o'clock noon on Friday, July 31, 2015 at the Spindale Fellwoship Holiness Church with Reverend Leon Brown and Reverend Chad Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in the West Point Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
