John “Pepe`” Berube, age 77, of Forest City, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
John was born Monday, December 13, 1943 in Lebanon, New Hampshire to the late Treffle and Grace Berube. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post #777 in Hendersonville. John was an electrician all of his life and owned and operated Everglow Electric in Hendersonville. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hendersonville and enjoyed fishing and eating popcorn.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of thirty-seven years, Marlene Berube; daughter, Ann Ferguson (Fredrick) of Forest City; grandchildren, Kim Adcock (Torry) of Brevard, Tina Fink of Horseshoe, NC and Michael Fink of Hendersonville. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, Connor Fink, Jeremy Harmon, Major Fink, Aliyah Hobbe, John Ryan Adcock, Wyatt James Adcock and a brother-in-law, Raymond Dawson (Susu) of Atlanta.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Rutherford County Honor Guard.
