Jonah Tate

Jonah Roger Tate, age 76, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born October 25, 1940 in Rutherford County, North Carolina, he was a son to the late Jarvis Tate and Ruth Powell Tate. He was a Unites States Army veteran. The "Old Man of the Sea" loved to fish.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne Tate, Dorman Tate; and one sister, Glady Jean Tate.
Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years, Ruby Tate; one daughter, Dawn Davis (Terry); four sons, Travis Tate (Crystal), Darren Keith Moore (Riki), Christopher Todd Moore (Shannon), Kevin Paul Moore; two sisters, Gail Blackburn, Orlene Morgan (Tim); and two brothers, Dean Tate (Bobby Jo) and Ronnie Tate (Brenda) . He is also survived ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
Services will be private and at a later date.
