Josh Greene, Sr.

Josh Greene, Sr., age 38, of Forest City, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021.

Josh was born Sunday, August 22, 1982 in Rutherford County to Deborah Greene Hill who resides in Forest City, the late Marco Wilton Greene. He was an electrician most of his life. Josh was an amazing husband and father and a son who loved his mother dearly.  He was the best person, and his desire was to make sure those he loved knew that they were loved by him. Josh enjoyed stand-up comedy, music and sports. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Carolina Tarheels fan.

In addition to his mother, those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Melinda “Mindie” Greene; a son, Joshua Scott Greene, Jr.; daughters, Katherine “Katie” Elizabeth Greene, Peyton Elizabeth Jones, Shelby Marie Jones, Caroline “Gracie” Grace Jones; brother, Stacey Greene (Jennifer), sister, Shelby Millwood and a nephew, Jordan Greene, and many other family members and friends who loved him.

The funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dale Austin officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
