Joshua Byron Rippy, age 34, of Salem Church Road, Ellenboro, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence.
Born April 4, 1983 in Rutherford County, he is the son of Jacquelyn Horne Taylor who resides in Rutherfordton and the late Byron Wayne Rippy. Joshua was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 2001 and was a self-employed mechanic. His life's passion was working on cars and taking care of his children.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step-father, George Taylor of Rutherfordton; one daughter, Aliza Rippy and one son, Byron Rippy; nine siblings, Michelle Lynn Rippy of Cliffside, Charidy Dobbins (Carl) of Ellenboro, Heather Harris (Patrick) of Gaffney, Justin Rippy of Rutherfordton, Jaremy Rippy (Kylie) of Forest City, George Taylor III of Rutherfordton, Shane Taylor of Forest City, Brittany Taylor of Forest City and Angel Nanney also of Forest City. He is also survived by his step-grandmother, Mary Taylor of Spindale and twenty nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at the Spindale Fellowship Holiness Church with Reverend Chad Sisk and Reverend Todd Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery on Rob Long Road. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
