J.T. Hunt

J.T. Hunt, age 88, of Bostic, passed away Sunday, November 1, 2020 at Fairhaven of Bostic.

J.T. was born January 29, 1932 in Buncombe County to the late Lonnie Pinkney Hunt and Vernie Propst Hunt. He worked as a truck driver most of his life and was an avid reader of Western Novels. J.T. was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Naomi Sue Carswell of Morganton; sons, John Hunt (Lorrie) of Lockport, NY and James Hunt (Susan) of  Ocala, FL; two daughters, Patricia Giamdrane (Wayne) and Karen Antertine (Richard) all of Lockport, NY; sister, Barbara Jean Bumgarner of Bostic; five grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 4:30 pm on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the Golden Valley Missionary Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Billy Cogdell and Reverend Lanny J. Funchess officiating.
