Judy Harwood, age 45, passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

Judy was born Tuesday, July 1, 1975 in Cleveland County to Samuel Earl Whisnant and Ruby Bunton Whisnant. She was a graduate of East High School and studied at Western Piedmont Community College and Isothermal Community College. Judy worked as a substitute teacher for the Rutherford County Public Schools for several years and loved collecting turtles of any kind.

Those left to cherish her memory include her life-partner, Richard Brown; two sons, Randall Wade Harwood of Rutherfordton and Michael Frank Harwood of Forest City; stepdaughter, Rachel Elizibeth Morrow (Buddy) of Forest City and two grandchildren, Raven Fletcher and William Brown.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Eric Yelton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
