Julio Alberto Guardado, age 50, of Union Mills, died January 11, 2015 at his residence.
Born January 11, 1965 in Managua Nicaragua, he was a son of Julio L. Guardado and Margarita Rodriguez Guardado. Julio worked for Mako Marine Manufacturing for several years and most recently for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Shelby. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing, NASCAR, hunting and was an avid fan of any sports team from Florida or Miami.
He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents and his brother, Julio C. Guardado.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife, Brandy Guardado; two sisters, Martha Guardado of Fleming Island, Florida and Elba Howington and husband, Jerry of Middleburg, Florida; two brothers, Eduardo Guardado and Cesar Guardado and wife, Daima all of Miami, Florida; mother-in-law, Evelyn Shealy of Gastonia, ten nieces and seven nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Harrelson Funeral Home. A Rosary service will follow at 6:00 p.m. with Deacon Sigfrid Della-Valle reciting the rosary. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted in Miami on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the St. Agatha Roman Catholic Church.
