Karen Wurzbach-Nielson

Karen Elizabeth Wurzbach-Nielson, age 54, of Wells Drive, Forest City, NC, died August 30, 2011 at her residence after an extended illness.
Karen was born February 27, 1957 in Dover, New Jersey to the late Paul Andrew Wurzbach and Shirley Marie Phillips Wurzbach. She was a graduate of Sussex County Community College and held certification in Early Childhood Education. She worked in child care for many years. She attended Liberty Baptist Church and was a member of the 'Pink Ladies' Cancer Society. She enjoyed reading, writing, and nature watching, and especially showing love to her grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer DeBroux and husband, Brian of Newton, NJ, Rachel Branham and husband, Brian of Henrietta, Alisha Bennett and husband, Matthew of Mooresboro; one son, Joshua Nielson of Forest City; two sisters, Linda Wurzbach of Forest City and Lauren Wurzbach of New Jersey; three brothers, Paul Wurzbach and wife, Lynn of Forest City, David Wurzbach and wife, Diane, Randy Wurzbach and wife, Tina all of New Jersey and one special aunt, Grace Kays also of New Jersey. She is also survived by ten grandchildren, Seth Gormley, Hannah Gormley, Abigail Gormley, Sarah DeBroux Faith Mills, Petra Branham, Nyomi Branham, Gideon Branham, Ryan Bennett, Caleb Bennett; two nieces, Danielle Jones and husband, Kevin, Sarah Wurzbach; one nephew, Les Thompson; one great niece, Bethany Jones and a great nephew, Isaiah Thompson.
